What Content Type Delivers Best B2B Leads?1082

Belew private msg quote post Address this user
I deal with both clients - B2C and B2B.

Each has its peculiarity. Both have overlaps.

Each thinks they are not the other.

Both can learn from each other.

This report lists up the Most Created Type of Content for B2B companies and compares that content to which delivers the best leads.

Let's see. Wouldn't it make sense to make more of the kind of content that gets the best leads?

What am I missing?

Of course, getting the right people in front of that content is still called for.

It's not about getting your content in front of the right people...it's getting the right people in front of your content.

The latter is doing content marketing right.

How do you get people in front of your content?

To get the right people in front of your content, go where they CURRENTLY are, and forget about the thought that they might come to you.

Brush up on your bridge building, and walk them by the hand from where they are, over the bridge, to you.

@dono2081

Hah! This is a discussion worth delving into. Because I couldn't disagree more.

Might call for a new thread.

I'll take both sides of this one, as I think you are both right ... you work on promoting your content were your audience hangs out and you work on the SEO and visitors your content creates.

My own aim is to touch my audience in as many places as I
possibly can online... I want them to think, this guy is everywhere he must know his stuff.

To do this you have to work both strategies.

Becoming all things to all people the Good Book says.

I think it best to team up - someone who enjoys outbound and someone who enjoys inbound.

I guess that's why there are extroverts and introverts, eh?

Me, contradicting myself, has just volunteered (though they insisted on paying me) to guest write elsewhere = outbound.

Shakespeare probably said something cool here, but I didn't like that class.

Can anybody help me out here?

I was teaching at a meetup the other day and I was telling people to one thing because it is best practice and then admitting that I don't do it... on the basis that once you understand the rules you can then modify them to suit.

I also point out that everything comes down to knowing your numbers... if you do it one way and get a better response do more of that...

@Steve That's problem. There are so many to do list until I'm distracted from my focus.
