Traffic Advice | Medical Billing Website1104

Belew private msg quote post Address this user
Welcome Davia! I opened up this new thread in response to your introduction and your service Healthcare Partners Consulting and Billing.

HPC Billing.

I will have other thoughts as I have time to go back.

But I always head to the blog first to see/learn how often you are updating your site.

The more updates, the more dynamic the site, the better the organic traffic results, the more you have to share.

10 blog posts since December. Nowhere's near enough to begin to see serious traffic.

The couple of posts I looked at ... one was very short = not findable. The other very long. But who's going to read it until your blog is more findable.

There's a balance between an 'army' of findable posts, that help the 'major' posts you write become more visible.

You need a strategy to find that balance, and to create more useful content.

Does that help for now?

Here's an infographic I created to give you some parameters to work with.

@Shan

What exactly could your service do for @Davia?

If you could answer the question you think she might ask, it's a better thread than saying 'take a look' and have her figure it out.

Would you agree?

I think your website is pretty sharp as well.. though it takes too long for each page to open up. This will cost you in the search results.

I am heading to a conference and will be on/off (mostly offline) today. Except for what I can do on my cell between breaks and the extended consulting I am doing today.

You have a great site. Provide an excellent service. And I agree...successful experienced military are really good workers. I want to help guide you where/when I can.

I had a close look at the website, its good and responsive too. The only factor wants to optimize the website in the Google search and make a visibility to the website

@Shan

What does that mean ... optimize the website in Google search and make it more visible?

Can you give me a step-by-step approach to what you will do and how?

I am a skeptic. Can you convince me that your service is worthwhile.

In my infographic, I share numbers and strategy.

Can you do the same here, please?

It appears to me your issues go deeper, more fundamental, than just post numbers and word count. Before you even get to that you need to look at your website choice and your content structure. It is problematic for both developing, and sustaining, organic traffic.

There are simple, but foundational issues that will result in hard-won traffic failing to linger long enough on your site to matter. Applied SEO, while good, isn't going to solve these issues.

You need to pause and consult with someone who is experienced with the true nature of business websites across the board, and can understand the necessary application of your mission and business goals to it. You need someone to look at the whole, and not just one or more of the component parts. A lot of small issues that may seem unimportant will compound into larger problems.

You suggest you already have SEO under control. Frankly, I see little sign of it. While your websites may be attractive to look at, they are doing little to attract anyone to look. Outsourcing content development and social media without making them part of an over all plan is likely to lead to a lot of expense without solid results to show for it.

You are two websites into a process that should have been examined and planned before the domains were registered. Please take the time to find the right person to consult and advise before you head deeper into the morass that is being created.

Thank you! I actually hired a professional to do the hpcwebsite and he is supposed to be managing it monthly. the other TherapyPracticeBuilders is one that I created myself.

I am confused as to what you think is wrong with the domain name itself.

All opinions and help is greatly appreciated!

@rev,

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seems from your post, my website at hpcbilling.com is a huge mess to put it simply.

I spent a lot of money to get it up and going, maybe I should just stick with the referrals from clients and word of mouth.

I dont have the time, energy or funds to keep redoing the website as everyone is an expert and come with great references. Then the final product is a mess.

Please dont get me wrong, The domain was researched for over a year by multitude of people I am extremely courious about your thoughts and what you would have done differently.

@Davia,

You misunderstand. Your domain names are fine. I am just suggesting that it is now late in the game to be figuring out what you are going to do with your website, or how you are going to do it. All that should have been part of strategic planning back a the time the domain names were being considered.

Further, such a plan should be comprehensive and all-inclusive, and not a series of single, unrelated, contracts with web designer and SEO specialist and content marketer, and... While such individuals may well be used they should be contracted in accordance with a plan that brings there efforts together into a singular focus rather than being a bunch of ad-hoc occurrences built one atop the other without each fully understanding their role as a part within the whole.

That may well be what was intended but the results I see suggest otherwise. Perhaps you simply got promised more than was delivered. Speak to Bill about that.

I see two websites with similar thematic elements. One is an apparently expensive custom job where the designer seems to have spent as much time learning how to hide his coding as he did learning his craft. The other is a suitable, if inexpensive, WordPress installation. Both sites are artistically modern but not conducive to good user experience. Both exhibit poor SEO characteristics. Both have layout and content structure issues (the custom site more than the WordPress, actually) that detract from message delivery. I could go on into detail but that's what I get paid the big bucks for.

I wish you had come to me before you spent all your money on what you got. If you are looking for a cheap fix, here's my best advice:

1) DO NOT hire anyone who is going to do a partial job or just a single aspect (SEO, social media, etc.).

2) WAIT until you can justify the expense to get a solid review and a workable plan.

3) IN THE MEAN TIME focus on your business and writing blog content as much as you can.

What you have will sustain you just fine until your revenue justifies further expenditure in this area. See 3 above. Put your efforts there and develop significant content in support of attracting organic traffic.

Bill's infographic provides a suitable target. I don't agree with all of his numbers but the direction is certainly correct. If you shoot for the moon, it's a worthy target. If all that time/resources allow is low earth orbit, hey, it's still "out there" so go for it.

When you're ready, and have a budget, give me a call. 620-728-1371. I'm in Kansas but I'm on Hawaii time (I don't do mornings and I work late into the night). I don't carry a cell and I only take calls when I'm at my desk. The phone takes messages. It looks like I'm one hour behind you, so afternoons and evenings are best.

Thank you so very much!

It was actually the same person who did all of it, UGGH I really do appreciate your insight! As I know medical billing and how to run or start a practice, but marketing, website design etc are all out there for me, so much so that I trust who I think will do the best job.

The web designer did this website as well www.drchristinenyc.com and I thought he know what he was doing

Davia in need of marketing her website to wider audience. Let me give you a step-by-step approach how this can be implemented.

For marketing a website socially can be done using website content, Blog etc.. The paragraphs should have a common keyword to boost up the website quality.

For example, HPCbilling is a medical consulting website so the content should have a meta-keyword(tag) like BILLING, MEDICAL or any other unique term which symbolize the purpose of the website. So if an user search for a website related to medical the Google will filter and get a perfect match with the search result. For attaining the result in the first page of Google, the SEO need to be performed minimum for 5-6 months.

SEO setup:
1. Keyword Analysis
2. Website Analysis using seo tools.
3. Competitor Analysis(Keyword wise, Back link check)
4. Initial SEO on page setup.(Meta tag framing)
5. Adding webmaster code and Google Analytic to site.
6. Preparing initial SERP report and send to client.
7. Off page promotion(Link Building)
8. Monitoring site performance.
9. Link Promotion for keyword ranking.

Many companies will keep on optimize their website for months/years to be stable in their competitive market. For good result 5-6 months is more than enough.

@Shan tell me more...

Could you for example show me your company website and the keywords it ranks highly for... ie "SEO services" or something similar.

I'm personally of the opinion that almost all old school SEO is dead and that provided you regularly push out correctly formatted content and then promote this via social media... the rest sorts it self out.

But then what do i know.

@Shan Suggest you check your website in Google and then fix your robot.txt file....

This is what Google is showing...

A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more.

.............

But then what do I know ...

I actually had a SEO company call me selling their services and when I asked them to show me their website and the SEO term they rank for... they said, we use telephone to get business not website ...

Enough said ... I think ...

Perhaps I'm grumpy today, only three calls from SEO companies, a few dozen emails and one LinkedIn on from a fake account... all trying to sell me SEO services.

let me tell you something, product development companies only rely on SEO,SEM for their inbound leads. Either service companies will not take much care on SEO. The service company website will be the proof to show case our work and the company portfolio. We are one among them...
