How Much Keyword Repetition is Best | Answer1170

There is a really easy answer to the question asked in this article -

How much keyword repetition is optimal?

After you have written an article or a post, read it out loud.

Seriously ... read it out loud.

And while reading it out loud, listen to yourself. If it sounds like you are saying the same thing, using the same word too many times ... you are. If you sound repetitious, you are.

If it sounds like you are not making a clear point ... you aren't.

Do what sounds write, um, right. And forget the math.

While I agree 100% with you, Bill, it is often hard for those steeped in numbers to get past the counting or the percentages, or whatever else lets them sleep at night. (and you thought counting sheep was to MAKE you sleep... no, it's to LET you sleep, and it's only meaningful to a honest-to-goodness shepherd -- but it's an interesting example of how these things get started!)

The thing is, if you have a good tool (like Yoast SEO for WordPress) that will teach you the right numbers (within an acceptable range) then you quickly get to the point where you no longer NEED to count and you can do as you suggest above.

I agree @Belew. It's always a good idea to rest what you've written even if it's just for a couple of days. That way glaring mistakes such as typos and repetitive words will jump right out at you.
