How do you handle your nerves?1265

Forum Owner Belew private msg quote post Address this user
Anxiety comes for a variety of reasons and despite your best efforts at preparation.

I am not a worrier. I have enough experience with different situations that I have confidence that I can make do one way or the other.

How about you? When do you get nervous?

How do you handle it?

I like to get nervous, it normally means I am pushing and will often do my best work as a result ... I am also not a worrier, in fact I perhaps am over confident in my own abilities ...

I worry more about people than things and I am the sort of person who does a great job of internalizing things- I often check out, instead of lashing out. Sometimes I don't register that anxiety until I find myself at the refrigerator more frequently than usual.

@Steve

Nerves are not a bad thing at all. It reminds us that we are emotionally invested.

Not handling the nerves...not a good thing.

@lunar_ranger

People make me nervous, too.

I know what I can/will do. I don't always know about the other guy.

I drink lots of coffee. I have a fresh mug beside me each hour. If it was available IV I'd probably sign up. Works wonders.

I pray about it. Then listen to music to calm my nerves. Now I begin to reduce the workload so that I can have more focus.
