While doing the procrastination thing I ventured into Facebook when I was relocated there after filling out the application for the Facebook research study I was invited to and I ran into a post by @bdaoust.

She shared an ancient proverb - "Our greatest glory is, not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
Ancient Proverb

It reminded me of this Japanese proverb:

It can be read nah nah koh roh bee, yah oh key. No intonation. Read it flat. Like saying, "The cat is dead."

It means, you fall seven times, but get up eight.

I wonder ... what's a favorite proverb of yours?

Here's one for you. I just read it recently and connected with it immediately:

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. – PROVERBS

You can't beat Solomon when it comes to really good proverbs...that are long lasting.

Lessee... he was nearly 3000 years ago...

Another Japanese proverb:

Kay zoh koo wah, chee cod lah nod lee

To continue is to be strong = never give up.
