21 Ways to Grow an Email List - Infographic1339

Forum Owner Belew private msg quote post Address this user
The original title for this post was a bit deceptive, IMHO.

21 powerful ways. Some ... not so powerful.

Some might be rather weak when you come to think about it ...

Here's another humongous infographic.

Curious to know... which of these do you use and what has worked best for you?

Wanna share?

Seed packet. There are seeds for 21 blog posts in there. Then if you apply @Belew's expansion rules, there is a harvest of 2,321 (or so) more.

That last number is made up because I was too lazy to look up the post and do the math, but you get the idea. If not, look up the post yourself. It's worth it.

If there are 21 ways to grab emails and the average Web site owner uses 6 of them....there are 21 × 20 × 19 × 18 × 17 × 16 differentry employable strategies.

That's a lot.

Loaded question. For which arm of my marketing effort are you referring to?

Short answer: I don't know.

I have never done email marketing. Not my bailiwick ... until now.

I have a pretty good list going on and I aim to see what I can do with it.

My first email out to this group is happening in the next couple of hours.

I am drafting it as I speak, er, write.

The goal of my email efforts is to establish trust with my would-be readers. I just want them to get look forward to opening up the email. Increase open rates. If the email is not getting opened and read, it doesn't matter what the email emphasis is.

Step-by-step ... 1st step is to get my would-be readers to look forward to my emails ... and open them.

Then I'll think about the next steps.

What's your plan?

I think No. 12 says it all but No. 14 worries me - it's a bit sneaky.

@SusanDay

#14 - just a tick box on the comment form that says:

Bill posted in another thread about how there were 101 or 1001 or some number of derivative posts available from a short list of steps, and then explain how to accomplish the break-out. When mentioning "expansion rules" I was referring to that post.
