I follow one of my students on Facebook.

I saw this update yesterday.

"‪#‎firstdayofoctober‬ and I'm opening our 150th gallon of ‪#‎titebond‬ 3 ultimate wood glue. When we first started making ‪#‎CustomEngravedCuttingBoards‬ We used one gallon every three months. We're now using 1 gallon every week. It's ‪#‎goodtobebusy‬ ‪#‎hellooctober‬ ‪#‎cuttingboards‬"

By my calculations they are 13 times busier now than they were before.

That's a pretty good success story, eh?

What I like about this story is that these people no longer work with me.

We 'finished' my involvement. They don't call. I don't call. There is no ongoing relationship that involves their dependence on me = they came, learned, applied, succeeded and no longer need me.

That's what I like to do. Work myself out of a job.

How do you measure success?
