The last couple of months have been pretty stressful... we've had two deaths to deal with... and i'm currently struggling to get back the motivation i need to really push on...

What do you do to get motivated?

@Steve

I hang out with other motivated people.

When they are doing, I want to do.

Death is a real downer, no pun intended.

We, I, miss you here.

You have so much to offer... been waiting for you daily.

When I see you I get motivated.

How can I return the feeling?

I'm actually here daily ... and just reading the goings on here does help push me ... and I'll be back to normal soon enough I guess, I do tend to bounce back quite well.

As to what I have to offer ... stay tuned...

@Steve

If I had my way, everyone here, or at least many here would be ultra transparent about what's going on so we can all feed off one another.

Here's my latest project. - DoGoodU.

What do I do to stay motivated? Force myself to move or act... by digging deep until the motivation I need is later found closer to the surface.

DO NOT LOOK FOR MOTIVATION TO GET THINGS DONE. Motication is fleeting. Motivation comes and goes, just like your favorite part of a song. Instead of looking for a reason to be motivated or inspired.... BE DISCIPLINED. Discipline is a habit. Discipline is a way of life. Hold yourself to a standard and stay above it. Important also: don't tell anyone else about this.

When you tell someone about your plans for change, your brain releases a small amount of oxytocin and dopamine (reward hormones). You'll feel happy just by talking about your goals without even doing them. Keep your mouth shut, keep your head up, and JUST DO IT. Don't whine, don't make an excuse, don't look for a better song. Do it. Discipline is what makes great men and women. You think while he was writing the Gettysburg Address Lincoln was thumbing through his cassette player for the perfect song?

He knew what he had to do and just did it. While youre mission and goal will not be as large or as noble as his, it's just as important internally. Go effect change. GO BE THE CHANGE. Stop waiting for something else to get you going. <snip>
