Has anybody had any success on Fiverr?

I put some stuff on earlier this year just for the fun of it.

Sold some ... wasted space for a lot.

But one of my gigs got 17,000 impressions!

Got me to thinking, I should try to capitalize on that.

Got ideas?

Can you turn that content into an E-book or a course?

@Summerbay

They are eBooks. I just sell them on 5r.

They are courses or content for Meetups that I have done or do from time to time.

Good evening,

Yes,I have had success on Fiverr, more since my video went onto my site.
I am an English mature V.O. artist.

I think the managers of the company, try to give everyone a chance of selling their wares and probably rotate the gigs[jobs]accordingly.

I once did a huge educational job of 36,000 words.
And now have a number of children's short books to record.
I think it takes a long time to get established, it did for me.

I think you should price your work according to how many words you are selling and allow the customers to buy a custom job from you, rather than just charging a fiver.

www.fiverr.com/lilleypond3
is where you will find my details.

Good luck,also have you tried Twitter and Pinterest.

Best wishes

Joy Gerken.

@jgerk - I've saved your gig, as I occasionally have client projects where a female voice is preferred.

@Belew - as we've talked about, I use Fiverr for generating leads to either inexpensive purchases for ebooks and basic course material. 17k impressions is nothing to sneeze at. You may want to do some tweaking & testing with your VA's to get better conversions. In other words, have someone follow up and ultimately find out *why* they didn't buy.

Other times I do custom gig videos ranging from commercial to simple screen capture / tutorials. These are great examples of how people mistakenly believe that the site is only about doing things for $5 - most clients have purchased custom gigs from $35 to $80 that I can complete in 1-2 hrs.

Thanks for the suggestions.

If I ever need a female voice over I know where to start.

@jycmba

You have 11 gigs at 5r. I got stopped at 7. How'd you get 11?

@Belew - for a while I thought the same thing as everyone else.. that Fiverr's just a place to get cheap labor.

But, after a while I realized how it's a community of buyers and sellers of services, that's when I became more serious in adding gigs.

I've still had gigs turned down (guess too many people were doing "how to make money on Fiverr" gigs..)

..but once you find a certain niche, it's easy to come up with other gigs. Think of it like your favorite televisions and their spin-offs. CSI Miami, NY..

Lately, my impressions have gone down, just like Twitter. Both the online & offline world keeps getting noisier.

5r limited me to 7 gigs. Not me.

I can come up with more but they wouldn't let me.

Question has to be... are you making enough money to make it worthwhile....?

@Steve

I put up some stuff....took less than an hour. Then let it go.

6 months later one of them had 17,000 impressions and I sold a half dozen or so .... hmmm. Maybe if I tweaked this and removed that.

I sold another a few hours after that for $20. Hmm... I begin to wonder more now.

Just a tweet to my followers on Twitter ...

Just want to test it all out ... all new to me, well selling something is... I've used fiverr to purchase services before.

Here is the link to it... nothing special ... just wanted to trail the system and response ...

@Belew - if we think of Fiverr as a way to get paid (instead of paying Twitter, etc) to generate leads, then we change the game.

Let's put it another way. This is an audience focused on spending money for things to help their business..

Seems to me that it's a no-brainer for a coach, consultant, teacher to be here..

Even if all you do is put up a listing - if you do it right, you're selling an ebook, instead of giving it away to generate a lead.

PLUS, most of all the buyer is raising their hands and saying "I'm willing to pay for help." That's a much more qualified lead than something just giving their email for your free whatever.

Sure, Fiverr is guarded about you communicating outside their system. But like everything else, there are work-arounds.

p.s. Coincidentally, just got a $55 order this morning to record a screen capture..

This client and I have been going back & forth for some time - not over price. They needed to prep their website, so I could record what a visitor needs to do.
