How many ppl don't love their work? Surprise1905

Belew private msg quote post Address this user
I came across this sad nugget.

"Worldwide, only 13 percent of adults call themselves โ€œengagedโ€ at work."

That's a whopping 7 out of 8 ppl do NOT like their job.

How abt you? Do you love your work?

I like my job, am very proud to be the best in my field. but I do not like my manager. I rarely met a manager who sincerely wanted to help me success in my career. that is the problem.

@yinglong

What's your job?

If you stay with it long enough maybe you will be asked to replace the manager.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I absolutely LOVE my work -- but my manager... sometimes he's such a dweeb!

I don't love my work and my boss reminds me of the fact constantly.

I'm sorry to hear this. I strive to ensure that all of the employees that I supervise are provided the tools to be successful, because my success is predicated on theirs. The fear of seeing others succeed is the major flaw in all bad or incompetent managers.

I love my work - I love helping clients and I love helping disabled persons and I love being my own boss!

@tammysoffices

I am my own taskmaster. I make unreasonable demands of myself.

I love my work, it is my passion and now I finally get to do what I want. My previous "job" was managed by a bully boss that did not listen to anyone (he thought he knew it all). The weekly firings of people that challenged him was a real morale booster. Thank goodness he fired me for insubordination, now I have the ideal job.

@belew I understand completely - b/c I am a perfectionist and my own worst critic at times!

@SusanDay thank you for the welcome & warning! lol

@tammysoffices

I am not so much a perfectionist as I am a task master.

But...old age is curing that I think.

I tell my boss, "Work? Nope. Not me. I am too tired."
