Berry juice (or any fruit) dripped on your white shirt? Here's how to get the stain out.

Place the garment in the sink with the stained area spread out and pour boiling water on it from a distance of a foot or two. It will come right out.

Aaaahhh!!!

Should I take the garment off first? That really hurt!!

If you can get yourself into a sink, the rest is up to you.

Spilled red wine on the carpet? Pour salt on it until the area is saturated (nice puddle of wine and salt). Let it dry and vacuum it up.

Laptop batteries last longer if you unplug and nearly completely discharge before you plug it back in. Then be sure you charge the battery completely to 100% before you unplug again.

It is not good for the battery to keep a laptop plugged in all the time.

By brother told me this, and I had it confirmed by a techie friend. Wish I'd known this when I first got my laptop!

I wish I knew this 4-5 laptops/batteries ago.

I agree. I'm limping along now on a battery that is failing. As long as I keep discharging/recharging carefully it seems to be holding its own!

Eating bananas keeps the cramps away - especially when you do a lot of moving around (walking, playing sports, etc.). Also drinking lots of water helps as well.

@Belew of course you were looking for marketing tips! Just wanted a change of pace - LOL

What works for me in marketing is constant commenting and adding value to other people's blogs - time consuming but worth it!

@bdaoust

I have found that commenting on blogs pays of long term. Blogs I haven't commented on for months are still resulting in website traffic.

I think this is called engagement.

We all want it. The best way to get it is to give it, eh?

@Belew

I was engaged once. It included a nice diamond ring. I've been giving ever since.

This is my non-serious side. It can't be repressed for long. You should read my Jill Moss novels.

(Talk about a marketing segue...)

I used to produce my own line of stationery products for the gift wholesale market featuring my own art, design, and sayings. The funny ones always sold the best.

I wanted to learn more about writing humour so I took a class in stand-up comedy (which I've never wanted to do) that included a performance at a club (which I did).

My tip here is, if you don't know how to do something that will further your business, go learn it. Take a class, or hire a coach; don't let lack of knowledge stop you.

My mom will be 85 this month. Last year she learned to use an iPad.

It's up to you whether you want to play dead or not.

I am 85. I just haven't been 85 as long as your mother has.

Or do I just feel like I am 85. I can't decide.

@Belew

If you're not actually 85 in years, how do you know what 85 feels like?

I know what 17 feels like, and 35, and 51, but not anything over the age I am now.

Hot tip: Don't define yourself by how you think you should be at your age. Be whatever you want at any age.

Inside every faux-85 year old is a 21 year old aching to get out.

My tip: keep him bottled up inside! After all, none of us was really all that great at 21!
