What percent of revenue goal for marketing?2056

What percentage of next years revenue goals should go to marketing?

If you want to see $1 million come in next year, how much do you think you should spend on marketing to make that happen?

I would probably try 5% spread throughout the year and use one platform primarily with a few things throughout the year to shake things up.

I think the important thing is to be consistent. I used Google ad words a couple times with mixed results.

@FrugalTravelsNepal

5% seems small to me.

I'd recommend 15% or so.

Agree with you on the need to be consistent with one strategy.

What's your main strategy now?

I've always worked on the general basis that a good return on marketing in ten times spend... so to make a $1,000,000 you would look to spend $100,000 ... i then adjust this to a particular niche as some are much harder to market to than others... but that is the rule of thumb I tend to use...
