If we don't do business with friends and family, why would we want to do business on Facebook?

Oh, I don't know that we want to. I think in the new marketing landscape, we have to. I was just speaking with someone about this today. She created a separate account just to keep the business separate from the personal. Just as with email, the lines between work and home are blurred with social media.

I created a separate page, then announced on my personal page I was dropping those that were not personal friends or family.
I had family that were uncomfortable with strangers comments etc. I believe it worked well. I dropped around 900 people I did not know in person.I still get many friend requests, I use a copy and paste response in messenger.

Hello (fill in name)
Writing a book consumes all my computer time right now.
Thank you for your friend request. I am on my personal page very littleā€¦ My photography page:

It's not just social media. I'm a solopreneur. I work from my home (or where ever my laptop or tablet take me). My business is, therefore, a part of my life, and not separate from it. I live accordingly.
