Long Form vs. Short Form2472

Hi Folks,

Have you noticed any differences in traffic for Long-Form content (1,500 - 2,000+ words) vs. Short-Form content (500 words, est)?

@Belew once said that long-form vs. short-form does not necessarily make a substantive impact upon traffic (somewhere in this forum), because most users want to find the answer to a question quickly.

However, this article has voted in favor of long-form content.

Which form best drives traffic, links, and conversions?

Experiences?

In my limited experience, long form works really well for hard copy.

Online, I stick to no more than about 800 words. Online reading is more difficult to focus or concentrate on.

@Lenderman33

The empirical answer to that question is in that packet of case studies I gave you when you joined the classroom.

Hi @Belew,

Thank you! Could you re-send? I did not know that I received a packet of Case Studies, so I do not know where the email/link would have gone to by now.

Simple answer is to write for your audience... and do do it regularly and to make the length of post whatever it needs to be to answer the question.
