If You Built It . . . Will They Come?2485

Hi Folks,

From experience, could somebody please address the following scenario:

If Google Keyword Planner does not display any Searches performed for a particular subject . . . Does that mean that people are not searching, or that so few people are searching, Google does not report the data?

Therefore: If Google Keyword Planner does not display any searches, should one write on a topic and anticipate that users will find that information and act upon it?

Or . . . Should one move on to other, more popular topics?

Thanks!

Erik

Erik,

Have you tried expanding the search on that word to phrases or synonyms for that word? Sometimes expanding not only gets the right SEO word but also prompts post ideas!

@Lenderman33

The limitations to the keyword planner are well known.

@Lenderman33 You should try writing a few posts and tracking the GA. See if you get more or less traffic with both. It would be interesting to see the results.
