Way too much information on Freelancing2573

I spoke to a group of Digital Nomads last evening.

Before I spoke, UpWork presented.

The speaker turned me on to a slide presentation -

Freelancing in American 2016.

Lots and lots and lots of information.

Way too much more information.

How businesses use Freelancer.

A pdf that's impossible to read - color scheme and font that is way too small.

Tell me what it says...plz.

Technology Vision 2017

According to the document itself, it is the result of 17 years of tracking. That's OLD. Too old! Anything more than 2 years ago is out of frame and only serves to muddy the water. Things move far too quickly to be looking back 10, 15, 17! years, unless you are writing history. "Vision" is about looking forward, not back. The numbers shared, therefore, must be suspect. Discard this and move on to something less pretentious.

64 slides? Did the presenter read the slides to you?

Too much data. Very little information.

I'm trying to recall Guy Kawasaki's rule on presentations - 10 20 30. I think it was 10 words per slide, 20 slides and 30 minute presentation.

I agree with @Rev that the second presentation data was way too old.

This is good for a high-level understanding for someone who knows nothing about the topic >>ME<<. Fortunately, I am in the company of zen masters on the subject.

@Belew I agree with your Technology Vision 2017assessment- the layout is squeezed, horizontally oriented and has a tiny font. Great information but way too much pie for one read, no CTA, I am aware - but what are my next steps?

"To succeed in today’s ecosystem-driven
digital economy, businesses must seize
opportunities to establish rules and
standards for entirely new industries."

What are these rules and standards? Do rules matter when you're innovating? These rules only matter when you're attempting to create a model based on someone else's passion.

@lunar_ranger, you can find a PDF copy in the bookstore on WizardsPlace or, if you prefer, a Kindle version on Amazon. Search in Kindle Books for Rev. Stephen B. Henry PhD and you will find my books.
