Forum Owner Belew private msg quote post Address this user
I can find a bunch of themes for pre-schoolers and kindergartens and education to sell stuff to kids ... but nothing for a kid to write on.

Got ideas?

Themes? Subjects?

And what do you mean "to write on"? Do you mean a document creation tool like Google Docs?

My daughter and her friends write about crafts, pets, family interactions, and fashion (a little). Other possible topics: Hair styling, which toys they like, how to make money (baby sitting, selling crafts), favorite books (that is a HUGE topic for my dd), online games, videos they like, etc. Nature, wildlife, introductory cooking, gardening, decorating your room, making holiday gifts and decorations...

Well, you get the idea.

My 13 y.o. is now writing fan fiction for the Warriors series along with her friends.

No, she has her own site. It's plain and white. I am looking for a theme to change her own site to smth more little girl-y.

@TParker

These are great ideas.

But I am looking for an alternative WordPress theme - background for her existing site - www.miamei.com as it is it's just plain white.

LOL "theme" 1997 vs "theme" 2017.

Try a basic theme that permits custom colors or one that allows an image topper and then spruce it up.

@Belew

Theme: Woo Canvas (most flexible theme in existence).

Add plugin: Elementor (page builder).

Your daughter is creative. Set her creativity free.

@beleew, I did a quick search of "children's wordpress themes" and found many. However, whichever you choose will eventually need to be customized if you want it unique.

Spend time looking at others' themes and create your own using photoshop. All that is really different is the artwork. The fundamental design of all themes are the same. Take the artwork and apply it to the them. Done.

Pretty much all I use is canvas and make them unique.
