Thought this would be a good topic for next Hangout - what does it take to keep cranking out content & become an unstoppable force for both your audience and competition?

Something I thought we'd try is to offer to have folks send in AMA (Ask Me Anything) questions..

..or if someone (thanks @morrnel for taking the hotseat role this time!) is interested in posing their challenges / problems for our informal "panel" - @Belew, @Steve, @Ileane

Last but not least, logistics - up to now we've been using the Sat afternoon time slot, which is fine for me.

I'm glad to treat this as the 3rd in a series.

We can possibly try a Fri afternoon / (Sat morning for Steve) time slot or stick with what's been working?

You're welcome @jycmba. Glad it worked out. And thanks everyone for your two cents, for @Steve, it's AUD0.0261

As part of research for an article, I came across this site full of Hangout recordings: https://www.cxotalk.com. Over 80 of them. Sometimes there is a transcript.

What is spinning through my head is how to take, in my case Medicare related questions and turning them into videos, either as a youtube or a hangout.

@jycmba

I'd like to put this on my MU sked for a few reasons if you don't mind.

1. There'll be interest.

2. More people can learn.

3. It'll give more exposure to the hangouts.

4. I can generate more interest in the forum here.

Can you explore how to do Live Streaming while we do the hangouts @jycmba?

I think @Steve might invite his MU to attend as may a few others?

Are we talking about @Belew running this at his MU on a Monday ... which could possibly mean that I could run it at a breakfast here ... depending on the time... 7:30 is my breakfast meetup ... start time/// not sure what the time is there...

i am mentioned if, as we could have it live in both locations, two separate meetup groups ..

Would have to be in a few weeks time though, if the above is wanted ... as I have two MU's planned ...

I'm easy however you guys want to run this ... if it's on at a different time, I can invite lots of people... if I have the time to promote it.

I wasn't thinking of broadcasting these to live MUs. But rather in addition to the MUs I already offer.

This is a good topic.

The value is going to be in the rebroadcasts. It's not as important to watch the live stream as it is to see it later.

@Belew - the challenge will be the time difference.

I think one A/B test we can do is to try each format -

A - open to AMA questions

B - allow someone (maybe a few) to be in "hot seat"

Connecting with a Meetup will be a matter of having the needed internet connection on-site.

Not impossible, but remember once you go to wifi or below, i.e. 5G - you risk getting cut off & dropped.

Hangouts are notoriously glitchy, and gets more so with dicey connections.

I am not thinking to create a live stream to a physical Meetup @jycmba, I am thinking to invite people to come watch virtually.

Member jycmba private msg quote post Address this user
@Belew - that's definitely a lot easier!

They can certainly send in comments and questions.

Again, the issue is timing so just a matter of coordinating the Hangout with the Meetup time.

@jycmba

I like most any evening except for Mondays ... even Friday, which is morning for @Steve.

In any event, we can make the replay available to watch anytime.

Let's say we did Thu evening here on West coast at 6 pm PST. That's 9 pm Eastern time, and 9 am Fri for Steve.

I think a "bring us your biggest questions" format would be really engaging.

Replays are great - especially, of course, for repurposing.. excuse me, RE-PACKAGING!

But I think we'll really attract good stuff if we get live audience to interact.

Soz can't do this Friday at 9 am ... I have a breakfast MU on Friday, so it would have to be later in the day for me.

@Steve - any chance of inviting those folks to participate in the Hangout?

I run a few groups, and this one is my business group so it's not the right audience for this ...

@Belew - looks like Thu is out for @Steve ..

Fri at 6pm? (great time to sit out traffic, but challenge may be getting to the Meetup?)

Do we have time for this week or are we scheduling for next week at this point?

I'm still going with @Belew wanting to coordinate with a Meetup time.

Otherwise, anytime we can all get online works as well.

@jycmba

Do not worry abt the Meetup.

I will invite them to come at the time you decide. I do not expect you to decide a time that suits the Meetup.

@Belew - ah, I think I get it now.

So you're just inviting these Meetup folks to watch online.

Thought you were trying to broadcast FROM a Meetup. Sorry, sometimes I'm a bit slow but eventually I catch on!

Guess we'll see when @Steve and the others @Ileane @Rev are willing to rally.

Right now I'll propose Fri (6/5) at 6 pm. That's That's 9 pm East coast time, and 9 am Sat (corrected by Belew) for West Aussie time.

Some items we can cover -

- How do you come up with ideas to create content?

- How do you decide what is the best content for your audience?

- What is the fastest way to create quality content?

Ultimately, I'd like to use as much of the time allowing folks to ask questions as possible.

But these can be questions to stimulate discussion?

@Belew - absolutely!

I think if we keep this momentum going, these sparks can ignite into something BIG for all of us.

@jycmba No reason why we can't do the momentum thing.

@Belew @Steve @Ileane @Rev @morrnel @tienny -

Looks like next slot will be Sun at 6 pm? Mon morning 9 am for Steve?

Otherwise we're into next week, of course.

Let me know, and I'll set things up.

Unlike the other Hangouts this one will be more Q&A -

As @Belew discussed a bit, our goal will be to open things up for folks to bring their own challenges with content marketing.

We'll feature @Belew as the raw engine expert / @Steve as the Twitter expert / @Ileane for YouTube ..and I'll see if I can bring in a surprise guest or two.

When we get all the kinks out, I will try to reach more people to participate as well.

@Belew - I'm never worried about getting more.

Traditionally, my challenge has been scaling to handle capacity once word catches on!
