How to Get Rid of Spam Bots in Analytics760

PatS private msg quote post Address this user
I was excited to see that my stats had increased significantly. Then when I drilled down, it seems that about 80% of my hits are from bots, SEO sites, and all sorts of non-real-people. Surely this isn't what you meant, Bill, when you said our stats would begin escalating! Help!

@PatS

No, that's not what I meant.

In Analytics you can go to Admin and filters to remove those pesky irrelevant numbers from appearing in your stats.

Thanks. Do I need to type in, list, each of them? Isn't there a way to do a global filter?

There is a WordPress plugin that will get rid of most.

Otherwise it is one by one.
