There's too much good stuff, sometimes just stuff, to read and not enough time.

LinkedIn has just put out The Sophisticated Marketer's Guide to Thought Leadership.

It's 51 pages!

It used to be that all information was at the library. You had to ask the librarian what was what and where.

Now all the information is online somewhere. We need new 'librarians.'

The new librarian is the information aggregator.

But that's enough. Someone needs to digest the new information, earn the trust of people seeking out information in a respective field and tell them/us what is relevant and what is not and why. This is the thought leader.

It's not long coming when we will need thought leaders to tell all who is a real thought leader.

Thoughts?

Add to this thread an article on How to Successfully Do Influence Marketing.

One line - "Let's say you use an influencer platform to identify an influencer in your industry ..."

Another term for influence is... thought leader.
