I'll take exception to number 2.

Strongly Picking a Side of a Controversial Issue - they explain.

"In reality, picking a side of a controversial issue can be very beneficial for your reputation. It shows integrity and strengthens your identity, but only if you commit to your position through logical argument and substantial content."

I'd say that you would NOT alienate the other half. You're more likely to bring them on to 'pick a fight.'

Nothing beats good controversy.

It's fun to be in the middle of controversy...especially if you are right.

You can alienate half the population of the world and still have 3½ billion potential clients.

Since I probably can't handle more than about 100 good clients, I can alienate nearly everybody!

@Belew, I agree with #2.

Tonight I was at the airport and requested an Uber. None available. Never ever had this problem before.

So, I am thinking, are all the Muslim and Christian drivers not working in retaliation of Uber dancing the streets after the homosexual marriage decision?
