@Belew

The policies and algorithms of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, etc. can be a factor in determining who is perceived as an influencer from a global or regional perspective. Perhaps their revenues are best served by addressing the needs of large entities. One example might be illustrated by @Steve's comments on how LinkedIn has changed policy regarding publishers. Do you see this as a valid observation?

If so, if a small businessman wants to be perceived as an influencer ... do you think that he/she should look at your list and prioritize your factors based on the relevant set of policies and algorithms? In effect; is the playing field for a small businessman "more level" in perhaps Social Network A as opposed to perhaps Social Network B?

@Jonnner

I think that if a person goes into any effort with the mindset they want to become an influencer they are fighting a losing battle.

The very first post in this thread ... the line from Margaret Thatcher comes to mind.

Don't try to be an influencer. Be what an influencer is. The influence will follow. That mindset is at the heart of this list.

Makes sense?

To be:

1. Entertained
2. Informed

When I showed my students this growing list here in this thread, everything stopped while they wanted to digest it.

Where do you go to be influenced?

Who are you influencing?

Do we really need to get advice on how to maintain authenticity?

If we are who we are isn't that enough?

@Belew Yes. It's enough for being us. It is challenging to look for people to have the same voice as I do.

I just a phone (Skype) call from someone asking me how to do this? - become an influencer.

Putting this list together has put me in the frame of mind to answer his question quite effectively.

Which would you rather be - the finder or the found?

I have been given the opportunity to teach a room full of teenagers-young adults. A small room.

We met this past Friday.

I gave them 4 choices of things to study

1. Something easy
2. Something deep
3. Something interesting
4. Something hard

In that order.

Any guesses on which one they picked?

Scroll down.

They opted to learn something hard.

Now I am looking for the first 94 on the list? I must have missed a previous post.
